Some of the other tasks trained volunteers can do are medication, store cashier, bunny boarding, and even looking at bunny poop through a microscope. And once a year they do one big, all-hands-on-deck, spring cleaning where everyone deep cleans the whole shelter - cages, floors, and even walls. Dust bunnies get everywhere. If you notice how squeaky clean the floorboards were in the adoption room in spring - that was us :)

We've encountered so many different colors and sizes of bunnies while we volunteered here - Dutch, Flemish, Californian, Rex - we have most of the breeds memorized! My goal for Bun Bun Studio is to feature all of them in my art.

Want to help volunteer, adopt, or donate? Visit their website: RabbitResource.org. You can also follow HRRN's Facebook and Instagram. HRRN also has a capital campaign to build a new shelter for the buns of central Texas! Their goal is to raise $2 million by 2027.
